About Hiccup Productions
Hiccup Productions was founded by Renata Ona, a Hamilton-based producer, writer, and actor. Renata is a Master's-educated and well-rounded creative professional, skilled in creative direction and project management. She has the unique experience of working in fast-paced corporate project management for ten years before entertaining audiences with quintessentially Canadian humour and pride.
The Hiccup Productions team is deeply rooted in the Hamilton community and built through proven collaboration and project execution. Renata has worked with organizations such as IATSE Local 129 and Cobalt Connects, on projects for Theatre Aquarius, FirstOntario Concert Hall, and the City of Hamilton. In addition, she's worked and volunteered for the Toronto International Film Festival, Hamilton Theatre Inc., Hamilton's gritLIT Festival, and the Hamilton Fringe Festival.
The company is founded on love for the humble hiccup - a tiny, involuntary reflex, usually brought on by laughter or fear. Inevitably, it yields great things.
